BCB Platform

I led the end-to-end product design for a new consolidated digital marketplace for Standard Bank - an integrated BCB (Business & Commercial Banking) platform that brings all internal financial products and approved third-party vendor services into a single, cohesive ecosystem. Over time, BCB’s digital offerings had expanded across multiple standalone portals, tools, and partner integrations. Business clients were required to navigate disconnected systems for payments, lending, trade finance, forex, compliance workflows, and external vendor services.

BCB’s digital ecosystem within Standard Bank had evolved into a collection of disconnected products and third-party integrations. Users were forced to navigate inconsistent interfaces, duplicated workflows, and complex regulatory steps across multiple environments. This fragmentation increased cognitive load, reduced efficiency, and made it difficult to scale new services cohesively.

Goal

How might we structure complex, regulated banking journeys into clear, predictable, and confidence-building interactions, without oversimplifying critical business and compliance requirements.
